Villa Park Public Pools Receive #1 Rating

The Villa Park, Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce that the main pool at Jefferson and Lufkin Pool received a #1 rating from DuPage County for the 2007 season. Each pool season, the County performs unannounced inspections at every pool to evaluate compliance with the swim pool operation guidelines established by the County. During each visit, DuPage County Inspectors test the water's chemical balance, the filtration system and the deck, showers and locker rooms for cleanliness and safety. Jefferson Pool was inspected six times and Lufkin Pool was inspected seven times and received no violations during any inspection. Accordingly, the pools received a #1 rating from a total of 82 pools in the community pools/park districts category. The entire administrative and pool staff work hard to maintain compliance to the strict standards set forth by the County and consider these results a reflection of the commitment by Staff to providing safe, clean and well-managed pools for the residents of Villa Park.
