| Pool Passes On Sale Now |
| We will update your previous photo ID with
a 2008 sticker so do not discard your old passes If you have previously purchased a photo ID pass, you simply need to complete a renewal application and bring it and your old pass to the Iowa Community Center or Community Recreation Building and we will affix your 2008 sticker. Your pass is not valid for this season until the sticker is affixed. If you do not have your old pass you will need to purchase a replacement pass for an additional $5. We recommend that passes for children, whose photo is more than two years old, be updated with a new photo. These will be provided at no additional cost and photos are only taken at the Iowa Community Center. Pass applications are available at the Iowa Community Center, Community Recreation Building and on this Web site. |

| 15 Use Pass If you won’t use the pool enough to justify purchasing a season pass, another option we offer is a fifteen visit pass. This allows you to save on the daily admission prices without purchasing individual pool passes. If you have family visiting from out of town, or you and your family only go to the pool a few times a season, this may be the pass for you. A resident pass is only $55 ($3.67 per visit) and a non-resident pass is only $69 ($4.60 per visit).

| Lifeguard Certification Work as a lifeguard this summer, in a great atmosphere for good pay! The American Red Cross requires you to be at least 15 years of age by the 1st class and be able to pass a preliminary swim test. Successful completion will certify you for three (3) years in Lifeguard Training and First Aid and one (1) year in CPR for the professional rescuer. All materials are provided. Upon passing this course, and receiving an endorsement from the instructor, you may contact Gina at (630) 834-8970 or gina@vprd.org regarding employment at Jefferson and Lufkin swim pools. Aloha Chicago Dancers The Aloha Chicago Dancers have been entertaining the greater Chicagoland area for over 10 wonderful years. Their success starts with uniting the areas finest professional Polynesian dancers and musicians with amazing talents and professional experience. Sit back as they take you on a Pacific Island adventure to the Islands of Polynesia. Experience the graceful dances of Hawaii, the fast thrilling dances of Tahiti, the fascinating dances of New Zealand, the explosive dances from Samoa, and the exciting FIRE dances of Polynesia. Both performances begin at 7:30 p.m.

| Water Safety Instructor Aide Learn to instruct and demonstrate swim skills to youths and be eligible to assist in our swim lesson program. You must be at least 14 years old and be able to swim 25 yards using the front and back crawl, tread water for one minute, submerge to a depth of seven feet and swim underwater for ten feet. | Private Swim Lessons Private swim lessons are available for all ages at Jefferson Pool on Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:30-11:30 a.m. Lessons will be tailored to your specific needs such as overcoming a fear of water, improving a certain swim stroke or simply learning how to swim. All lessons will be arranged according to your schedule and the instructor’s availability. Contact us and let us know if you’re interested and we’ll put the instructor in touch with you. | Pool Rentals Jefferson and Lufkin Pool are available for rent for birthday parties, family reunions, block parties, team get-togethers or other occasions. Both pools are available evenings when special events aren’t scheduled, from 8:00-9:45 p.m. To reserve a date, contact the Pool Manager beginning June 7.
